Prepare for your audition
AUDITION IN PERSON
You will meet with course-leader Theo von Bomhard and a second member of the team, who will discuss your goals and work with you on your audition pieces.
We expect the audition to last about 30-40 minutes.
Audition pieces: please bring 2 contrasting monologues - each should ideally be between 1-2 minutes long.
We are interested to see:
- a classical text in English (eg Shakespeare, Marlowe, Behn, Webster; or in an english translation, such as: de la Barca, Goldoni, Moliere, Corneille, Racine; Chekhov, Strindberg, or classical greek) AND
- a modern play or screen monologue originally from any language, as long as it has been translated into English. Written between 1950s and today.
FYI - We don’t expect perfection!
