Our 1 year course offers vocational, professional training in ENGLISH for aspiring actors who want to work in the “Anglophone” industry. Over the past 5 years, GFCA PARIS has developed a fresh approach to actor-training based on our proven experience. This has already shown it's worth, with our alumni achieving successes in the industry; while making use of our strong links to the Industry in France and the rest of Europe, as well as the UK and USA.

 

The course runs on 2 days each week, allowing you to receive a high level of training while being free to work at a regular job, take on other studies – or just enjoy life in Paris. We offer a comprehensive, varied, yet holistic approach to the work, as we know that there is more than one route to naturalistic, truthful acting; rather than presenting one magical method for all. Each year, we seek out talented individuals from a wide range of backgrounds to train. 

 

With us, you will explore the acting methods and techniques of Lee Strasberg, Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, Sanford Meisner and Jack Waltzer, amongst others. You will also be trained to develop your voice and body with regular Voice, Singing, Accent-work, Movement and Improvisation classes.

 

GFCA Paris is the only school in France to teach Yat Malmgren’s powerful technique of Movement Psychology and Character Analysis! It is used by actors such as Anthony Hopkins, Pierce Brosnan, Tara Fitzgerald, Helen McCrory, Lambert Wilson, Gwendoline Christie, Michael Fassbender, Colin Firth and Tom Hardy, which you will learn with internationally renowned acting coach Giles Foreman.

 

We believe that our training offers a richness and depth that other courses cannot match. The course is divided into 3 terms, with 14 hours of classes per week, taught in small groups for maximum individual development.

 

During the final term you will film showreel scenes, learn the best ways to promote yourself in the Industry, and rehearse a play in English for public performance in a Paris theatre, attended by industry professionals.
