GFCA exists because storytelling can change the world — and we're in the business of training the actors who tell those stories best. Through in-depth, supportive training in small cohorts, rooted in the legacy of Drama Centre London, we prepare storytellers to work at the highest level of their craft.

Founded by Giles Foreman, in 2015, GFCA’s approach combines the rigorous, method-based techniques with the foundational ideas of Christopher Fettes and Yat Malmgren (Character Analysis and Movement Psychology) to shape each person as a complete artist. Our instructors are experienced professionals–many of whom taught or trained at Drama Centre London–who are dedicated to providing actors an alternative to mainstream instruction in a supportive, enlightening, and enjoyable environment.

Located conveniently in our own bright, modern studio in Paris's 10th arrondissement near Canal Saint-Martin, we offer high-quality, realistic acting training in English and French, designed to equip actors for the international market.

Giles Foreman is one of the leading acting coaches in the UK, USA and throughout Europe. He is a specialist in realism for stage and screen using the Methodological approach to acting, and notably in the Yat Malmgren/Laban technique known as Character Analysis or Movement Psychology. He has introduced the work to a new generation of actors in London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Zurich, Berlin, Vienna, Munich, Madrid, Rome, Cairo. He was recently awarded a special Swiss Film-Academy award for his work as a film-acting coach.

    THEO VON BOMHARD

    Head of Acting

    Diploma Course-Leader

    Theo received his acting training at Cours Florent in Paris, and since 2011 has also studied Method Acting with Jack Waltzer (lifelong member of the Actors Studio) in Paris, London and Los Angeles. Over the past five years he has also graduated from Drama Studio London, taught Acting in English at Cours Florent and, while doing so, obtained a Postgraduate Certificate in Performance Teaching from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, as well as a Certificate for Teaching in Higher Education from Harvard University. Theo is course-leader for the 1-year acting course. FR: Theo a reçu sa formation d'acteur au Cours Florent à Paris, et depuis 2011 a également étudié le Method Acting avec Jack Waltzer (membre à vie de l'Actors Studio) à Paris, Londres et Los Angeles.     LINDSAY RICHARDSON

    Deputy Director of GFCA London & Vocal Specialist

    Lindsay is a professional singer and actor, who first trained classically at Trinity College of Music, London and in musical theatre and acting. She has performed as a soloist at many of Britain’s major venues and festivals, recorded both on CD and DVD, toured and performed across Europe. Radio broadcasts include Radio 3′s In Tune, Danish Radio, and Radio 4′s Woman’s Hour. She has directed opera; and devised, coached and staged modern musical drama. She provides individual vocal coaching for presenters, singers and actors, and those in public life. Lindsay coordinates the work of the GFCA London and GFCA Paris centres; in London; she coaches, directs and teaches singing voice privately, and on the Advanced Intensive Programme; she coaches and directs film-scenes for Pro-Intensive actor-courses; coaches and directs Classical scenes and film-scenes for the 1-year diploma at GFCA Paris. Her theatre directing projects include Fear and Misery of the Third Reich; and plays devised for and with Advanced actors: including The Ascent of Woman, Refugee, Exist Other Wise, Hero’s Journey; & Les Liens Qui Unissent (London & Paris combined project) Lindsay designed the groundbreaking book on Character Analysis - A PEOPLED LABYRINTH - for and with the author, Christopher Fettes, & with Giles Foreman, for GFCA Publishing.

    JANET AMSDEN

    Movement Psychology teacher

    Janet is a working actress who originally trained in the Art & Science of Movement for three years before training at the Drama Centre for a further three. Whilst at Drama Centre, Yat Malmgren encouraged her to learn and teach the Movement Psychology aspect of his work, which when she is free she continues to do.

    Melanie Reiff

    Melanie Reiff is a voice coach and director based in Paris. With a Masters of Music Education and Vocal Pedagogy from the University of Colorado, she has 15 years of experience of vocal coaching for both singers and actors. She specializes in helping speakers achieve clarity and ease in English to support their acting in international markets. She also is an instructor with Studio Muller and Act and Bloom in Paris.

    Elisa Freitas Machado

    Movement Coach

    Elisa Freitas Machado is a dancer, choreographer, performer, and teacher with over 30 years of experience. She holds a Performing Arts degree from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and is also a body therapist inspired by Carl Gustav Jung. Influenced by Mary Wigman’s expressionist dance, she specializes in classical dance, body expression, and contemporary dance.

    Anna Ivacheff

    Movement Coach

    Anna is a multidisciplinary artist with 25+ years of experience rooted in hip-hop culture. Known for her expressive freestyle, she has performed worldwide and works across dance, theatre, film, and visual arts.

    She leads movement workshops for actors focused on emotional awareness and presence, and also works as an energy therapist and soft skills coach. Her grounded, intuitive approach is guided by hip-hop values: authenticity, expression, and connection.

    Justine Viotty

    Acting Coach

    Justine is a French actress, writer, and director. She trained in London at the Central School of Speech and Drama and the Actors’ Temple, in Paris at the Method Acting Center, and in New York at the Lee Strasberg Theatre & Film Institute. She later taught at the Method Acting Center for several years.

    Justine is an active actress with extensive experience in theatre, television, and film. She is also a member of an improvisation company.
